Wanna carry a sword in public? Go to America

So...America. I know you like to prove that you have a huge dick, what with your President's desire to increase the number of nukes that you have and your weird desire to protect your right to own a gun.

But allowing edged weapons to carried in public like it's nobody's business? (I might be exaggerating on this but fuck it) What's the fucking point?

Sure, you might be able to protect yourself from an asshole who's trying to rob you with a knife. But you're America! You can buy guns in America without a background check! How the fuck would that make things safer for people? What is the logic behind the decision?
