Texas asking for federal help after being hit by Hurricane Harvey despite being critical of the federal government before this? Eh, why not? Sure, it might be hypocritical of them but fuck it, people just lost lives, homes and what not and it's a good time to swallow your pride.
Not to mention the federal government is Republican now. Why the hell should the Texans fight against the federal government now that they are lined up closer with the things that you believe in?
