Swatting fatality

Swatting for those who do not know the term, is where someone calls the police and gives a false report so that the SWAT can charge their victim's residence and interrupt them, usually in a very aggressive manner.

So, it is pretty much a miracle that there had been no fatalities up until this point, during which the Wichita police shot and killed a man during such an incident. Who's to be blamed in this situation? The prankster or the police?

My answer is very simple, to borrow a page from Trump. They're both to blame. More on the prankster who did but the police also deserve some share of the blame. So on the pranksters' part (because apparently there's at least three of them involved in this), they're fucking idiots for trying to use armed people just to make another person upset, especially since they also used the excuse that their victim is armed and dangerous.

US police are extremely trigger happy, given their training and the abundance of guns in their country. So of course, they're going to assume that anyone is armed and dangerous and they're going to fire if they think people might be wanting to shoot them.

Which brings us to the second part of the blame, the police. The militarization of US police has definitely led to this situation, what with them purchasing military equipment and using it on the streets. This has given them 'I have a hammer and everything are nails' mindset and they will shoot whenever they can because they've been trained to do so.

On the plus side, one of the pricks involved has been arrested and here's hoping that he will get a punch in the dick sentence when the time comes. Hopefully, he will understand the meaning of the phrase 'murder accessory' when he's actually sentenced.

Five Nights at Trump Tower

Disney unveiled its animatronic Trump the other day and I have to say, that is one of the creepiest animatronic faces ever. Hell, even the real Trump doesn't look that creepy and that dude grabs women by the pussy.

I guess the uncanny valley strikes back but another one of the problems is that the damn thing doesn't even look like Trump himself. It's a pretty shitty design all in all, make no mistake. Maybe the person who made this thing should just make horror animatronics instead.

They might end up becoming a proper multi-millionaire on their own accord, unlike Trump himself.

Supersize Me

I remember watching that documentary years ago in college during class. It kept talking about how eating McDonalds on a daily basis would make you obese and yet I couldn't help but notice that one guy who had a Big Mac meal twice a day and still remained relatively slender. There's a huge dissonance there and the documentary never got around to properly addressing it.

Of course, years passed and scientific studies and a Supersize Me counter-argument documentary have emerged to pretty much debunk a fair chunk of the central premise of Supersize Me. I especially love how they complained that Supersize Me isn't very scientific; after all, you can't be if you're basing your evidence on a sample size of one.

So why talk about Supersize Me now? Well, mostly because Morgan Spurlock, the director and test subject of Supersize has posted a preemptive post about his own sexual indiscretions and it's...honestly weird. I mean...good for him for admitting to all this before he is fingered but some parts of me is just troubled by him saying "When will they be coming for me?"

It feels more like he's trying to preemptively stop this from being bad press, especially when he goes to the part about how he made a settlement with an assistant when she quit her job and she threatened to tell the world about what he did. It just feels...calculated, to me at least.

Now, this could just be me being extremely cynical but it just feels like a cop out. But what would I know? I'm just a guy who shuts himself in for fear of doing the same thing that everyone else is doing because he knows that deep down inside, he's just the same as every other asshole out there and that the world is a better place without him.

Weighing in my thoughts on Jerusalem

I'm not a particularly political savvy person but I can say this about Trump declaring that Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Boy, he sure fucked up big time didn't he?

Really, the only ones who are happy are the Israeli government and Christians who think that this is the End Times and at this point of time, I get to say, fuck them both. Fuck the Israeli government for being assholes who illegally occupy Jerusalem and fuck those Christians who want the world to end.

News flash: there's a lot of real issues here since Israel as it is right now was only formed after WW2 and there's a fair amount of forced resettlement done to the original people who lived there. What about those people? Don't they deserve some form of retribution?

Also, no. We don't know if this are the End Times. Which is why, if you pay attention to people preaching about the End times, they always give some sort of vague answer. It'll be this generation or within the next generation. Fuck off. No one knows. You can point at signs like natural disasters but that doesn't mean shit. Earthquakes happen all the time and we know about it now simply because we have access to a more global media.

So, no. This really isn't about Trump and I'm pretty sure that this will get under his skin if he ever reads this. This is about the people who are affected and this is about the assholes who wants the world to end.

What the flying fuck, Patreon

And now, Patreon joins my shitlist of corporations after this particular news broke out and honestly, I'm not happy. It's bullshit, that's what I'm saying.

Long story short, Patreon is now charging pledgers 2.9% of the pledge +  a 0.35 cents surcharge. A shittier version of the GST if you will. Now what's my problem with that charge, you might ask. You see, my problem is that one, the charge is on the pledger. They are asking us to pay their bills for them. You know, just like GST.

My second issue is that, Patreon thinks that everyone who is pledging is American. At least, that's my take on it based on how they go about saying how everyone will be pleased with this. But I'm fairly certain that no, not everyone who donates is American and we might have unfavorable exchange rates with the American dollar. It will kill us to keep donating to creators that we love.

So,yeah. Fuck Patreon for this shit. 

Back to actual politics

And Mike Flynn pleads guilty to lying to the FBI regarding Russian sanctions and it has sent quite a few people talking because finally, this is something far more interesting than Trump being a dick and an asshole.

Realistically, I don't see this doing much towards removing Trump from the Presidency. The dude is like a piece of shit that you stepped on while mowing the law: it gets stuck to the sole and you have to work really hard to remove it and even then, there's still pieces of shit stuck there and you're never really fully getting rid of the shit.

What I can expect to happen is for most of his actions to be more heavily scrutinized by the public and the Congress. Everytime he says something regarding the Russians, we can and should ask him if he's blowing Putin because he's clearly been corrupted by the Russians at this point.

At least, I hope that should happen. This is America we're talking about. Home to lolicons who can and will run for a Senate position without any form of shame.

UFC loot boxes

You know, EA is a pretty shitty company. They killed the Ultima series with their horrific handling of Ultima 8 and 9, they killed a lot of good studios that they bought (latest being Visceral) and they're as greedy as fuck.

Case in point, Battlefront 2. Enough said. Just google Battlefront 2. I don't even have to bother linking anything. Just google Battlefront 2.

But a short while after Battlefront 2, EA released the beta for UFC 3 and well...it's as bad, if not worse than Battlefront 2 regarding loot boxes. I mean, if you buy the loot boxes in Battlefront 2, you've got a distinct advantage over players in multiplayer. In UFC 3, buying loot boxes can turn you into a god amongst men.

Apparently, the entire progression system in UFC 3 is tied to loot boxes and you can buy upgrades to your basic moves in the loot boxes. So yes, your basic punch move can be upgraded to turn you into an unstoppable killer and in a fighting game, that's a huge no-no. There's a reason why people say things like 'Basic Batman only, no items' in Injustice 2, a game which does something similar.

So fuck EA because EA is the shit and triple fuck EA because I know they're going to kill off Bioware in the future.

In short, fuck EA.

Rules lawyer

On the one hand, that term is pretty silly. Lawyers should know the rules and the law, shouldn't they? Anyways, this is regarding that idiotic headline that says that everyone in Malaysia should be religious/and or believe in God.

Lawyers have come out and said that no, that particular minister whose name I cannot be bothered to remember is talking out of his ass. Freedom of religion includes the freedom not to be religious according to them and that this particular deputy minister should leave the rules interpreting to them.

So yeah, good news to everyone who wants to believe in no gods (including Buddhism, because let's face it, Buddhism has no deity in their teachings). For my part, I'll stick to having to decide between the Church of Gadget Hackwrench and the Church of Mizuki Nana. Mmmmm...

Since apparently people want to argue that we must be religious in Malaysia, here's a couple of religions for people who have trouble with this ruling.

1) Cullenism. While sadly, it is not the worship of Optimus Prime and His almight prophets Ramrod and Voltron, it does have some traction amongst female worshippers. Vampires are real, Edward Cullen is the greatest of all vampires and Stephanie Meyer is their one true Prophet.

2) Church of Gadget Hackwrench. Very popular in Russia apparently. Bow and worship the great goddess Gadget, She who invented gadgets to help her Prophets Chip and Dale! Also, She is actually pretty cute too so that's a plus.

3) Otakukin. You know that you're an outsider and you know the reason for that? That's because you're a reincarnation of Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Or maybe you're a reincarnation of Son Goku? Which Son Goku? The one from Dragonball Z or the one from Saiyuki Reloaded? Who knows and there's a whole lot of anime out there too!

4) Church of Latter-day Dude
These people will go to bowling alleys for their worship but is otherwise like Chinese Taoism before it went all weird with magic tricks and body fluids. Just sit back and relax, dude.

Update on loot boxes

By now I think everyone knows about this but Belgium has officially declared loot boxes is gambling and wants the practice to be banned in Europe. That is good to hear but there's also a decent piece of news coming out from the US of A for once.

So congratulations EA. For once, you have made the world a better place. Just not a better place for you and other publishers like you who dares to pull off bullshit like this. A good win for parents, children, gambling addicts and gamers in general but we still need to pay attention to loot boxes and what happens with regards to this.

Edit November 23: Sadly, the announcement made by the Belgium is not an official one. It is merely the statement that the commission is making regarding loot boxes and that is their view, not the official findings. Still a good thing because they are investigating the whole deal. Just not as good.

As always, supervillain Ajiit Pai is still trying to do his evil scheme of reversing Obama's rule of classifying the Internet as a utility service, making it possible for his evil overlords, the ISPs to charge for the Internet based on their usage.

This will an act that will screw over how the internet is being used all over the world, sadly enough and while this fucking asshole deserves to be called out on his insipid kowtowing to his overlords, that's not the important part.

Right now, I can only wait and watch because I'm not American (despite what people think. Jesus fucking Christ, there's a lot of people out there who seems to think that I'm American) and I cannot really rally people because of my lack of social grace and skills. More talk about gambling and loot boxes

For all the talk that the Malaysian government has regarding protecting their citizen's morality, I have not really noticed anything about loot boxes and how it might be gambling. Nothing that a Google search can uncover at the very least.

Sure, they'll censor anything that has to do with religion (see that god fighting game whose name I cannot really remember off the top of my head and honestly does not look that good to me, the original Daredevil movie, Hellboy's renaming to Super Sapiens), but with regards to loot crates and the fact that people are concerned that it might be gambling, zippo.

I'm pretty sure that the government does not give a flying fuck about this since like most every other conservative Asian, they probably consider gaming as a child's past-time so they don't bother paying attention to it.

This isn't anything really. Just a curious examination into how quiet the scene is over here with regards to the whole loot box scandal going on right now. Nobody's raising a fuss over anything about addictive personalities and how gambling ruin lives.

It's just...weird.

Let's talk about gambling

Time for some gamer news instead. EA and in a more limited fashion, Blizzard, is now being investigated by the Dutch and Belgian government on whether loot boxes count as gambling.

Loot boxes, for the uninitiated, are packages which contains items that you can be used in game but the catch is, you don't know what the items are going to be. They can be that extremely rare goods that you can use to be OP, that new cool skin that you've seen other people use or it can just be shite.

Some people (especially game publishers and certain developers) have argued that this does not count as gambling since you are definitely getting something of value from the loot boxes. It might not be what you want but you are still getting something of value.

On the other hand, loot boxes contain a random element within them and the pleasure/desperation that you get from opening them can lead you to spending more money on them. And that is the genuine worry that most people have in regards to loot boxes: that they are addictive and will cause you to spend more money than is necessary.

Quick disclosure here. I play Paladins and I also play Symphogear, both of which I enjoy and adore (Paladins more than Symphogear because the former is actually a game and the latter is just auto-pilot but with the ladies from Symphogear). But even then, I wouldn't hesitate to call the loot boxes in these games gambling because of the random nature of the drops and how you are given the option to spend money to get the shit that you want (Symphogear doesn't technically have loot boxes but you pay 20 to 200 song stones in order to flick a pendant which gives you 1 or 11 new cards at random).

So yeah, I'm definitely on the side of loot boxes = gambling because of the random nature of these puppies. But here's the thing. I don't really mind them too much as long as they are used properly. Here's my proposal on how to use loot boxes. Use only in-game currency to purchase them. No premium currency bullshit. If you want a guaranteed rare item, set up a shop to buy them directly without hassle. Sure, it can be at a higher price than normal but I don't think people will complain too much.

Right?

Yet another mass shooting

You know, I was right that there was going to be another mass shooting in the States. I just didn't expect it to take place less than two weeks after the first one.

Five people dead, including the shooter's wife and multiple injured. The only consolation is that there are no children killed despite the shooting taking place near an elementary school but that's small consolation compared to the fact that five innocent people were killed in the shooting. And while some people might say, a good guy with a gun could have stopped him, wouldn't it have been easier if the bad guy had no guns to begin with in the first place?

So yeah. Just wait for another mass shooting to take place I guess because they're still going to argue about gun control, whether it's a mental health issue or not and then not doing anything about either issues because Americans just don't want people to stop dying.

PS Donald Trump tweeted out to the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas about their own mass shooting despite the fact that this new one takes place in Rancho Tehama, California. While sadly pathetic and amusing, I think it's safe to say that Trump has no idea which mass shooting just took place because there's too many of them to keep track of and you really need to do something about that. His tiny brain cannot handle the number of mass shootings that take place in America.

PPS After I wrote this, it came to light that the shooter built his own illegal guns and this of course means that gun nuts are going, "If more people have more guns, they could have stopped this guy." Consider this though: One of the victims who was shot by this guy could not shoot him because she was protecting her child from being shot. She did pull out a gun but the asshole drove away before she could shoot at him.

Two, more guns do not mean that mass shootings are going to stop. It just means that there are more guns circulating around and that makes it easier for people to get their hands on guns. If anything, it will mean more mass shootings simply because there are more guns on the road.

What's this? You're suing a man who posted a Facebook post detailing your sexual harassment of a woman? What are you? Digital Homicide? Suing someone who's posting evidence against you for doing a harmful thing against a woman? The nerve of them trying to ruining your reputation which at the time has already been ruined?

I mean, go ahead, you piece of shit. You're not going to do yourself any favor nor are you going to get people to sympathize with you since we already know the kind of person that you are, which is a filthy piece of shit.

In fact, let's face it. The only reason why you're doing it is because you want to stop people from criticizing you. Just like Digital Homicide during their 10 to 15 million dollar lawsuit against one journalist and 18 million dollar lawsuit 100 Steam users. Nigel Farage asks why now

In the wake of Roy Moore's allegations of sexual misconduct (aka the dude molested teenagers when he was a 32 year old, the creepy fucker), Nigel Farage asks why now? Why would women come out and make these allegations now?

Is there something sinister going on here? I would argue that all this is taking place because of Hollywood. Or more precisely, the growing number of men who are being accused of sexual misconduct over there. And in some ways, even because Bill Cosby and Bill O'Reilly.

Since these cases are getting spotlighted in the media, it is extremely likely that these women were emboldened to take the necessary steps to accuse their harasser and molester because of this powerful show of solidarity. No more do they have to suffer in silence. No more do they have to be ridiculed by the public for daring to impeach a man's dignity.

And this is not some sort of conspiracy theory where the women are doing this because the filthy liberals are losing to the conservatives and so they need to throw one back against the conservative. This is more akin to "Hey, those people had a chance in seeing justice happen to their assaulters. Maybe I can get some justice for myself and others who shared my experience too."

So yeah, that's probably why they're doing this. Because with all of these sexual misconduct being brought to light, we need to know about the disgusting behavior of these men and how we should not tolerate these behavior any more. And we really, really should not tolerate the half-hearted excuses others give to defend the behavior of such people ever. Really? The Bible is all for pedophilia? Fuck you.

The old 'sexy fashion means rape me' argument

I remember back in the 90's, one guy wrote to a local newspaper, saying that women should dress conservatively in order to avoid being raped. This was immediately followed by everyone bashing the shit out of that guy, saying that he obviously know nothing about how rape works (it's a show of power, it happens between people who know each other, etc).

In other words, it's always the victim's fault for inviting rape. It's never the rapist's fault because the poor man was seduced into raping the woman and he has no control over himself. This argument is of course, bullshit and that's why it was rejected then and why it's rejected even today.

So of course, some asshole from Egypt brought up this argument again, that it is a man's patriotic duty to rape a woman in ripped jeans because the sight is too sexy for them. Seriously? You're bringing up this argument in the least respectful way possible and while being completely ignorant about the crime in the first place.

Stop advocating for a horrible crime, al-Wahsh. A woman's choice of clothes has nothing to do with why she is getting raped and saying that it does shows that you have no self-control in the first place which is why you are having trouble with women's clothes in the first place. Mary and Joseph

Roy Moore has been accused of having sexual relations with a 14 year old girl when he was 32 years old. Now of course, this is a disgusting act if true and the man should properly punished for the act (I recommend physical castration and forcing him to eat his dick but that's too civilised for a man like him) but I'm not here about that.

I'm here about his idiot friend, Jim Ziegler who went out and said that this is okay. This act of a adult having sex with a minor is okay because in the Bible, Joseph was married to Mary when she was a teenager and he was an adult and they became Jesus' parents.

It's pretty much at this point that I feel like I should fly over to Alabama and force the idiot to read his Bible once more. One, you just implied that Joseph had sex with Mary and is Jesus' father. That's not how it goes in the Bible, where it was Mary who was divinely impregnated by God.

Two, stop using religion to condone sex with a minor, you fucking piece of shit. That is not acceptable in any way however you want to spin it. An adult should not have sex with a minor period and don't bring up nonsense like some teenagers are more mature than their age. That is a bullshit argument meant to shift the blame from sexual predators onto their victims.

Three, yes there is something immoral and illegal here. The age of consent in Alabama is and was in 1979, 16. The girl was 14 years old, nowhere near the age of consent. Furthermore, 'anyone at least 19-years-old would commit sexual abuse in the second degree by touching sexual or intimate body parts of a victim 12 to 16 years old. It is also illegal to bring a minor less than 16 into a home for the sake of trying to fondling them or having sex.'

So, please, Jim Ziegler, you piece of shit, stop defending your friend. You're making yourself look like shit in the process and while some people will defend ephebophilia thanks to its weird grey area, in this case, it's a 32 year old man having sex with a 14 year old girl. There is clearly something wrong, immoral and illegal here and Joseph did not have sex with Mary, at least not until after Jesus was born (which is its own weird thing in itself but I digress).

PS To anyone who tries to use the whole a 14 year old can be more mature than a 32 year old adult, fuck you. That's a bullshit excuse for people who try to argue that age of consent is just nothing more than a number and that youngsters can be more mature than their age. We should not be allowing adults to have their way with our youngsters in any way and age of consent is one way of protecting our young ones from sexual predators.

Well now, Trump is doing something similar once more. Where in America, Trump used to call out on China taking over American trade and now in China, he's saying that he doesn't blame China for the trade inbalance.

So I read on the news that Sia released nude pics of herself on the internet and I'm wondering who the hell is she? Yeah, yeah I'm getting old, bla bla bla but I do like the take on the entire thing.

Apparently, some fucking scumbag took nude photos of her and sent them to her, threatening her with blackmail and wants money from her to prevent their leak. So...she leaked her photos to the Internet via Tweeter instead.

Sia, whoever you are, good for you and fuck those assholes who took those pics of you. They are shitstains on humanity's cloth for attempting to do something as low and as classless as this and you deserve all the respect and privacy that you can get after this.

Yes, Trump. This is a guns issue. Stop going around parroting the other Republicans and the NRA and stop blaming this on mental health issues. Not that you're doing anything about it, since you just cut the health care budget.

This is a normal thing in America already. 378 mass shootings this year alone at this point of writing with at least 530 dead. And look, I know you don't care about people. You don't care about anyone, I get it. You're a sociopath, we already know that.

But here's the thing. You want to know something that everyone in the world is pointing at the US of A and laughing at you about? It's the fact that you're the only developed nation in the world who will complain that there is nothing that you can do to stop people from killing each other with guns. Thus you will spend the rest of your existence mourning the fact that you cannot stop the next mass shooter.

Condolences to the people of Sutherland Springs

At the time of this posting, there are at least 26 killed in yet another mass shooting in the US of A, this time in the land of firearms itself, Texas.

I have my own thoughts on it, believe me but I will keep my mouth shut, at least for today and just say, God keep you strong in this time of sadness and mourning and know that your friends and family are in a better place right now.

Really? Really? You actually went out to say that fossil fuels will help prevent sexual assault? That fossil fuel powers electricity, which in turns powers light bulbs and shines righteousness onto the act of sexual assault.

Peace reigns

For 11 minutes at least when a Twitter employee on their last day of work (don't know if it's a man or a woman. #feminism) deactivated Trump's twitter account. There was silence and there was peace and God saw that it was good and blessed those 11 minutes as the 11 minutes during which Trump shut the fuck up.

And then the Twitter account was reactivated and everything went to hell again. Fuck, that was too short.

Preachers banned from preaching divisive teachings

Let it not be said that I don't say anything good about Singapore (mostly because it's way more fun to talk shit about that country) but reading about Singapore's decision to ban hardliners from preaching in their country does make me feel good.

Now, those are Muslims preachers obviously but don't expect other religions to get a free pass since they did that to two Christian preachers who went about preaching the same type of bullshit. Ah, my heart is filled with such joy at the sight of assholes being denied the ability to do what they want to do: spread ill-will and disharmony across the world.

So in conclusion, good job Singapore and fuck those assholes in the assholes for being such fucking assholes. Go jump back into the asshole of your assholery where you belong and stay in there for the rest of your unnatural lifespan.

Anyways, reviewing the artwork. Looks pretty nice I'll have to say but I'll have to take away points because it depicts a couple with zero romantic chemistry and that the couple themselves are very unappealing to look at. I can always vomit thanks to how physically repulsive they look, which is pretty much the whole point of the mural, two very repulsive individual making love to each other and fucking over the West Bank.

Budget 2018

Took a quick look at it and here's my very layman's understanding of the whole thing in a nutshell. It feels like it's trying to fix the immediate surface issues without focusing on anything big or new.

Sure, they're cutting a little bit of the income tax rates, reducing loan fees for students, increasing the number of affordable housing and all that other jazz and there's a few more plans to improve healthcare tourism and the agricultural sector but it just feels...eh.

Like you know, they're just offering a patch up job in order to look good for the 2018 election. Bribery in the form of incentives and tax cuts without giving a big plan for the future.

Should we blame the Penang government for the Tanjung Bungah landslide?

Yes. Yes, we should. See, here's the fun thing about leaning towards the authoritarian side of the spectrum. The government is in charge of all these oversights and developers have to get permission from the government in order to get construction done. Thus, the government is responsible for making sure that the developer does not start until every box is checked and nothing can go wrong.

Because there was a landslide, thus the government is to be blamed. They may not have given permission to the developers, but neither did they enforce the lack of permission being granted and people actually started work on the site, thus causing a landslide and causing people to die.

So as far as I am concerned and with all due respect to the people involved, the answer is yes. We should blame the Penang government for not doing its duty in making sure that this incident never occurred in the first place.

No place for exclusivity but you said it too late

Najib, remember two months ago during the Charlottesville Nazi rally where Trump refused to call out the Nazis and KKK? Remember how everyone condemned him so hard that he had to do a second speech one weekend later to do damage control even though he clearly didn't want to? You know what the problem is with that statement?

It was too fucking late and people have already had it in their minds that he is a racist son of a bitch. You took even longer to denounce exclusivity in Malaysia after several such incidents and you expect people to just sit by and forgive you?

Fuck this speech man. You should have done this immediately. It's not that difficult to see that what people have been doing is wrong, that to say racist things is moral reprehensible. So now, we're just calling this damage control and that you're just as racist as the people who did all those racist things because you didn't open your mouth.

Something positive about Duterte

Yeah, it's a rare occasion when I'm going to say good for Duterte when he killed someone (let's face it. He kills people via leadership and ordering) but I'm going to say that this is a good thing: Dr Mahmud Ahmad, Malaysian IS leader is dead, making it harder for IS to operate here in Southeast Asia.

Ding dong, the witch is dead. Anything that makes life more difficult for terrorists and extremist is good in anyway if you ask me but now we need to focus on fixing the actual problem: why such people became terrorists and extremists in the first place.

Economic reasons, dissatisfaction with the current system, feeling neglected by the system, a desire to want to do something meaningful with their lives. In most cases, religion has nothing to do with why they feel the desire to join up with such heinous groups but that's something that I feel that governments will neglect.

Because let's face it: blaming religion is the easiest thing for governments to do so that they don't have to fix things. And we all know just how fucking lazy governments are when it comes to actually fixing a problem.

I mean, we have another idiot preacher who up and ran his mouth the other day, saying that Muslims should not have their hair handled by non-Muslims nor should they send their children to schools run by non-Muslims. You do know that you're having an image problem right now, don't you?

Actual IS attack on Beerfest planned?

While I remain partially skeptical regarding the case where police arrested three people who are allegedly planning to attack a beer festival, it raises other worrying questions.

If this attack is true, how much has the racial and religious tension arisen here in Malaysia? How have things fallen to such a level where people feel compelled to attack a festival? This is a troublesome trend and there is no easy fix, as proven by the Americans and their own continued struggles with racism (see Donald Trump, eternal bigot and douchebag).

While things are looking down, especially now with the upcoming general elections and politicians resorting to attacking people using racial and religious slurs, I want to remain positive. People are willing to change, or at the very least, grow accustomed to each other.

With all due respect, I don't think that such extremists would attack others because they are jealous of the peace that we have in the country. They make such attacks because there are deep seated issues that they feel are not being addressed, from the poverty that they are currently enduring to the fact that they feel that their way of life is being threatened by others. 

So, I call for a change. Not just in the government but in our mindsets. We need to get rid of this 'other side' mindset that is deeply entrenched in us and there is just one way to do it: we need to get along like bonobos so that we can achieve greater peace.

Anti-kleptocracy

So...I did actually drop by at the anti-kleptocracy rally to have a look at what was going on...and I really don't know what to say about it. Well, I guess I can say my shit which is not going to me make me popular with my non-existent readership so here goes.

Okay...I honestly didn't know what to expect here. It is my first time checking out the rally after all and I guess I did expect some anti-Umno and anti-BN rhetoric but...all of it being just that? To be fair, I arrived there at 6 pm and left at 8.30 pm so there might have been more to it but having just anti-establishment speeches was just tedious.

There were plenty of dancing though. I guess it's to alleviate the constant BN bashing and the dancing and traditional music were pleasing and suited the unity theme. But...maybe I just expected more than that.

Of course, it's not election season yet and so they can't do some actual campaigning but I really expected something meatier other than let's rally the crowd and tap into the people's tribal instincts to get them to vote for us.

On the plus side, for the 2.5 hours I was there, there weren't any traffic trouble...so I guess the police were wrong on that part.  Take that however you want it and that's just me talking about my own expectations of the rally. If you wanted more Umno and BN bashing, good for you but it wasn't for me.

Edit 1: Oh and Pakatan, I call bullshit on the whole 25k people turning up at the rally. I was there and it didn't remotely look like 25k people at all. Half the field wasn't even used when I was there.

Edit 2: Also. what's up with the Guy Fawkes mask? I saw quite a few of those and I'm thinking, "They do know that Guy Fawkes is a terrorist who tried to bomb the Parliament right? Or did they only watch the movie and thought that Hugo Weaving was so cool in that one?"

Taking another break

So let's take about giant robots instead. And yeah, they're going to have a real robot battle pretty soon and however you look at it, it's going to be pretty damn sweet.

Does this mean we're going to have actual mechs in battle soon? The answer is: are you fucking stupid? Of course, they're not. The future of warfare are in drones, both aerial and ground-based in order to reduce the number of human lives lost. Giant robots still need humans to be inside them in order to work and the current designs of war vehicles are too efficient to throw it away for a ridiculous inefficient humanoid design (height, stability, weight, mobility, terrain, etc).

So just shut up and watch robots beat each other up for fun. It's at least going to be more entertaining than watching Bayformers, I can guarantee that much.

Wolf Warriors 2 for Oscar nomination?

China, are you really that stupid? Don't you know that if you want to get an Oscar nomination, you should not be putting up an action movie for submission? Those movies tend to be laughed out by the judges who have a very real list of movie criteria that you need to follow if you want to stand a shot of nomination.

Anti-kleptocracy rally

Looks like the anti-kleptocracy rally will still be taking place at Padang Timur so here's some advice for people who wants to go there: take the fucking LRT and stop at the Taman Jaya station, you nitwit.

No seriously. Padang Timur is right next to the Taman Jaya LRT station. Just swallow your pride and take the fucking train to the rally if you really want to go. Shove it down the authorities' throat regarding their traffic congestion bullshit.

No seriously, fuck Jakim. As it turns out, one of their officers will be facing action for criticizing the Sultan of Johor from prohibiting a Muslim-only launderette from operating in Johor.

My attention went to the racist remark that he made during his speech, which goes as follows:

Stop right there, you piece of shit. The moment you say something like "It's not that we are prejudiced against them," it clearly means that you are prejudiced against them. It's like when people say, "With all due respect." They always mean, "Kiss my ass." 

So stop saying, "We are not prejudiced" or "I have friends who are". It doesn't mean that when you say such things, you can then follow up by saying shitty things about the people that you are disparaging. If you don't like them or are prejudiced against them, then say so. At least you're an honest bigot. Still a fucking bigot but at least honest. I'll still hate your guts but it's not built on a foundation of lies.

As a side note, the preacher/officer released a statement saying that it's his right to raise his views regarding the situation and you know what, he's right. He gets to say whatever he wants. He has the freedom of speech to do so.

But do remember one thing. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from the consequences of your speech. If you say something stupid, expect people to criticize you. If you say something racist, expect people to call you a bigot. Don't hide behind the freedom of speech excuse whenever you say something bigoted and racist. Wolfenstein is anti-Nazi?

No fucking shit. On the day that North Korea released a press conference saying that the US tried to kill Kim Jong-un, I decide to focus instead a few people's outrage over the fact that Wolfenstein, a game series set in World War 2 that is about killing Nazis, is a game about killing Nazis.

Specifically, they are upset over what they perceive is a liberal view over Nazism or some bullshit like that and fuck, I'm not in the fucking mood to go into any kind of detail over the whole damn thing because it's stupid as fuck.

Wolfenstein is a game about shooting Nazis. It always has and it always will be. There is nothing political about the fucking game in the slightest whether the right thinks it or the left thinks it. Defeating Nazis is always a good thing irregardless of your political stance. Fuck, that should be your political stance at any given time.

Did Rex Tillerson call Trump a fucking moron?

Who the fuck cares? It's not really important at all given the shit that's been happening so far and we're giving fucks about whether someone called another person a fucking moron?

No changes in the future

On October 1 2017, a mass shooting took place at a concert held by Jason Aldean. As of the time of this writing, there are at least 58 casualties (not including the shooter who killed himself) and at least 527 injured. Condolences to the family and friends of those who died.

First thing to note: ISIL tried to claim responsibility. That has quickly been proven false and is just a pathetic attempt on ISIL's part to poke their nose into every single thing that has been happening around the world. Shut the fuck up ISIL and go stand in the corner like the bad idiot that you are.

Second thing to note: nothing's going to change as a result of this. It's going to be the usual argument amongst the Democrats and the Conservatives, the NRA will stick its finger and say that good people with guns stop bad people with guns, Second Amendment activists will raise their hands, people will buy as many guns as they can in order to avoid losing out on gun purchases.

All of that hass happened before during Sandyhooks, Virginia Tech and so many countless more shootings in America that it's almost boring at this point.

And that's the sad part really. America really is the only country in the world where this is a complicated issue. Everywhere else just says, "Let's be stricter with guns and make it harder for people to get guns," and everyone is just cool with it. "Let's make it harder to get shot," people said.

I get why it's hard to give your guns. They're fucking cool. Our entertainment has done everything to glorify the killing instruments and I'm guilty of it too. But I don't live in America and I don't understand this weirdly obsessive need to hold on to your ability to purchase and sell guns in such an easy fashion.

But I'm not American, I'm don't live there and so my thoughts don't count and nothing's going to change there and we'll get another mass shooting in a few weeks' time because that's how things will play out in America and forever will.

I admit, I don't go to the gym at all because I think that gyms are a waste of money in general, but hey, power to those who maintain a disciplined routine and eating habit and want to look like body builders.

An internet security firm just published the internet habits of North Korea's elite class...and it looks remarkably familiar to the internet habits of the rest of the world. They check their Twitter account, buy shoes on Amazon and watch porn.

The only main getaway is that the ruling elite are not isolated from the rest of the world, they are fully aware of their actions and they are expecting our reactions to their actions. In other words, every thing that they do is calculated and informed.

Also, they do not use the internet to spread military information, thus making them smarter than Donald Trump, who tweets everything without understanding the meaning of the word 'restraint'.

Nothing much to say honestly. Just something interesting to bring up because if anything, even North Koreans use the internet for porn.

I'm referring to the case where they detained a Turkish author over his lecture on Islam held here on the 24th. He was arrested the next day at KLIA and detained over the next few days. Why? Officially, the reason given is that he did not have a proper permit to give a lecture about religion. In reality? Jawi didn't like his message: that there is no compulsion in religion.

Of course there is no compulsion in religion. If there is, then there is no point to religion. Religion is and always will be a choice that we have to take. Otherwise, there is no faith behind our actions, only an act of parroting and I don't think God cares about parrots mimicking the actions of others.

Symphogear

Going pop culture again in this post. While I'm sure that there are other shows that have already done it, I was pretty amused during the penultimate episode of Symphogear AXZ when they cut over to a resort next to a golf course where a fat white man sat by a pool and used the nuclear football in order to nuke Japan.

Now to be fair, a god-like being just shot down an American military satellite in the previous episode and this is the series where Obama did not inform the public that the moon was going to crash into the earth. Still, it's hilarious and appropriate that Trump would launch a nuclear missile at Japan from his poolside at Mar-a-Lago instead of you know, someplace more appropriate.

The Better Beer Festival 2017 was canceled and it was revealed that the festival came under threat from extremist groups, according to authorities.

In response to this, I say, "Is that real? Can we actually see some evidence of the threat? Or is the threat under a box, trapped with a piece of radioactive material that has a 50% chance of killing it and thus since we cannot see what's going on inside the box, the threat is both real and imagined?"

Gender roles

An interesting read from CNN I will have to say, regarding how perceived gender roles and norms affect a child's mental health and development.

Why...it's almost as if the very idea of gender roles is antiquated and should be relegated to the backbenches of history just like every outdated idea. A girl should not be forced to play the good and demure princess of the past and a boy should not be expected to be the macho, aggressive player. Apparently, all of that thinking damages a child's growth and reinforces gender stereotypes.

No duh. It's kinda been seen in real life already especially amongst women who don't confirm to the traditional teachings of feminity. I also recall the old work place where I had to go around explaining that no, a piano is not a girl's instrument and girls can play the drums too because it's not a boy's instrument; it's an instrument.

Sheesh. Get with the century, people. Gender roles should be eliminated simply because it's outdated. You know...I think everyone in the world honestly expected this. There is no more surprises coming from Trump when he was going about making threats at people in his UN debut. He went on, made threats to North Korea, made threats to Iran, blah blah blah.

It's just so tiring. No, really. It really is tiring. What happened to the days when people were working together for the benefit of the world? What happened to diplomacy being the number one way to do things instead of bullying people into submission?

Gone I guess. That piece of orange shit has made bullying the new way of doing things. And I'm already so tired of doing this. Trump is not funny anymore. He's just pathetic in his attempt to exert his out-dated views over the world and I just want him to leave ASAP.

Finally. Something a bit more light-hearted and something that actually involves Trump once again. Light-hearted in the sense that Trump wants to have a military parade.

It's adorable in how much he wanted to have the military march like that in front of him, just like how like how Russia, China and North Korea does it. I can see it now, tanks rolling in front of him while he whips his flaccid dick out and masturbates in front of everyone. Oh, he's getting one of right now! Mostly because Melania refuses to touch him any more.

Obligatory mentioning of Michael Bay over here because of course, there has to be one. If there are people who would come at the mere mention of a military march, Bay has to be one of them.

A few things to say about Jakim but mostly, fuck Jakim

Jakim is, to be put it in the simplest term possible, a religious police group. I'm not going to get into the semantics, I don't care about the group's ideology and I am definitely biased against it from the get-go.

I'm not anti-religious. I'm a deist, even if no one knows what the fuck deism is all about but fuck it. I don't care who you light a candle for. Who you pray to in your darkest hour, who you give tithes to, I don't give a shit. After all, religion is a personal matter and God is the final arbiter of who you are at the end of the day.

I am however, anti-religious police, anti-moral watchdog and all those shit. Jakim is all of that shit and in this day and age, is fantastically out-dated. A Muslim heterosexual couple are in close proximity. Well, fuck that, says Jakim and like an avenging raptor, goes in to rip things apart.

Like that time when they raided a married couple's hotel room and jailed the couple without giving a shit as to their marital status. Of course, they were rightfully sued for that shit. Then there was the time when they told a Muslim to repent for keeping a dog. Or that time when they raided a fashion show and held a transwoman for more than 24 hours. And a few other equally as rage-inducing acts as anything else, which just shows that as far as I am concerned, that Jakim is imposing their own school of moral thought onto people.

My point is this: any of form of religious or moral policing is reprehensible, irregardless of religion. No one person or group has the right to tell anyone how to behave or act and those who force their views on others are tyrants. And the thing about tyrants is that they will fall. Whether in their lifetime or when viewed through the lenses of history. And their fall will be a glorious thing to behold with much celebration during their death. Ding dong, the witch is dead.

So one last time, fuck Jakim and fuck any other religious police out there. Whether Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Scientologist or whatever, fuck those people who force their views onto us. Fuck them and fuck them horribly.

Duterte being an asshole does not surprise me. He does it all the time and without shame and without any shred of humanity at all. But Aung Sang Suu Kyi doing a Donald Trump? Fuck. Guess this is why the modern day concept of feminism can be so depressing. Everyone is equal in how shitty they are, regardless of gender, status and past achievements.

Comics as propaganda?

Some people got into a kerfluffle when Action Comics #987 depicted Superman as flying in to save undocumented immigrants from a white man who is shooting at them. Here's me laughing my ass off at them.

See, Superman is a good, kind character. He will fight against oppressors of any kind and he will fly in to lend aid to anyone in need. While I may not enjoy his stories (I prefer something a little smaller in scale and no, Batman is even more boring than Superman in my opinion), I will say that there are few heroes out there who can match Superman's capacity for kindness.

That Superman would fly in and interpose himself between a shooter and his victim is completely in character for him. Stop complaining about that. Is the whole thing politicized? Maybe. But here's the thing: comics have been doing this since the Golden Age. Promoting (racist) war propaganda, getting people to buy war bonds, used to boost troop morale in the front-line and all that.

It's always been the case for the entirety of comics. Deal with it. Hell, even right wingers have their own shitty comic book propaganda writer, Frank Miller. Go read that offensive piece of shit that Frank Miller churned out and drown in the shitiness of that work.

Besides, Superman has always been against the alt right movement.

Sometimes, it's good to put to post up good news on this site which no one has read in like...ever. In this case, Martin Shkreli is going to be in jail until his actual sentencing next year because he posted an offer on Facebook, offering $5000 to anyone who can get a strand of Hilary Clinton's hair.

Was it a stupid thing to do? Yes. Was it potentially violent? Possibly, given that Trump is an asshole and would probably encourage people to do this as often as possible. So the judge concluded that yeah, go to jail, you stupid idiot.

As going to mentioned a thousand times, sure you are free to post or say whatever you want. Just make sure that you're able to handle the heat when people start firing back at you for whatever stupid thing. In this case, go to jail, Martin Shkreli. Do not pass go and do not collect $200. You deserve it, you piece of shit.

Okay seriously. The hate is spreading to children now. One biracial kid was hung from a tree by a group of teens in what is apparently a racial motivated incident.

Officially, they did not disclose the name of the perpetrators since they are minors when they performed this which is pretty much SOP. Because you know that what you want to do is to go out, hunt those kids down and give them a taste of their own lynching.

And what a better time than to talk about Steam? Or specifically how it was banned here after this game was published on the gaming distributor.

Am I bothered? I'm a deist so that I don't really care in particular and honestly, I find the game more hilarious than anything else. If anything, I'd say there are a few things more offensive and insulting than Fight of Gods ever will be.

So I don't have a problem with this game but on the other hand, I can understand why some people might have a problem with the game. After all, some people are sensitive about having their beliefs being made fun of or in this case, having depictions of their religious figures put to fights with each other.

Najib and Trump

In a few days, Najib will be visiting Trump and here's the issue. It's not going to be about the US of A at all. I highly doubt that Trump is even aware of us and where we are on the world map given the man's lack of sentience and intelligence.

What I can agree on is that Najib will be trying to get Trump to somehow get the DoJ to drop the 1MDB investigations. It's a big issue over here and quite frankly, we really need it investigated in order to uncover the shitstain that is festering in our country so that we can actually get on to scrubbing the feces out of the system.

And there might be a chance that Trump will accommodate this Najib because two assholes connected to each other becomes a weird version of the human centipede. Why? Because Trump wants to flex his muscles over the DoJ in order to proof that he's the fucking President and he can wag his dick wherever he wants it.

Of course, protesting to Trump is pointless because he doesn't care and protesting to Najib won't work because he's desperate. The only thing that can be done is to raise awareness of the matter so that the stink of the shit raises up from the toilet and make people aware of the toxic matter of the situation.

So it looks like Trump Jr did meet with a Russian lawyer in order to gain damaging information regarding Hilary Clinton. According to his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, it doesn't matter since he got no meaningful information from the meeting. Therefore no harm done right?

Not according to some lawyers, who have said when this first came up, this still counts as a breach of federal law. This is still an attempt to solicit, accept or receive” a contribution or “anything of value” from a foreign person for a U.S. political campaign or “for the purpose of influencing any election for federal office.”

Some might argue it's only an attempt and that it didn't work out so why should he be punished for it. Well, in that case, it can be argued that if you fail to kill someone, you shouldn't have to go to jail for it. Is that what you really want?

Bear in mind though, Trump will mostly likely pardon Trump Jr in order to push things out of people's mind but bear in mind that this is just going to make things worse for him for half of America and the world's view. Granted, he's shit deep in the pit right now so he can only just dive further in to eat some more shit.

Several days ago, a Singapore news portal reported that a young man passed away after allegedly having being denied treatment since they did not pay up. As it turns, that story was not true at all.

I can go on about how the internet has driven the media to publish first without verifying facts and how it's so easy for us to just accept Singapore's side without paying attention to our side of the story but eh, fuck it.

Condolences to the family of the man who died even though I have no idea who the guy is and for the rest of us, I wonder if there is a lesson to be learned from this whole mess.

Donation from Trump

Trump has personally pledged to donate one million dollars from his personal pledge to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Okay, do it. We're waiting for the grand ceremony and pomp affair with your smug face posing for a photo shoot as you donate a giant cheque to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

No, I mean it. Do it, Mr President of the United States. You're a supposed billionaire, so you donating one million dollar out of your billions is not going to be a problem for you, right? I mean, it's chump change for you right?

Oh and don't say that you are going to do it behind close doors. We know you by this time, Mr President. Your ego is bigger than the universe and you want people to be praising you. Your donation is going to be public and full of pomp.

Military Police

Missed yesterday because I couldn't find anything to write about but now there's something to make fun of. American police will now regain access to military equipment once more.

Wow. I mean wow. You really want to have police who have tanks and military grade armor and weapons. And people will feel so secure with the police walking around brandishing BFGs and riding tanks in the city and countryside.

Hah. It's just a penis size competition. I can't even say that they're trying to compensate for something. They're just trying to show off how grand everything is, that their police can just shoot anything because they have BFGs and tanks.

It's almost as if the Trump administration is trying to turn everything into the 80's. Specifically, 80's action movies where everything is solved by macho men with large guns and bigger explosions. But then again, the Transformers movies are still going strong there. So everything is becoming like a Michael Bay movie.

Wall for Government

Trump threatening to close the US government if they don't fund his border wall? Wow...that's stupid on his part. No, seriously. How exactly does holding people hostage help his case? The only ones who suffer are the US citizens and we all know how much he cares about them.

Sure, it will end up with people blaming the opposition for not giving in to Trump but they are the opposition. They're supposed to stand up against his terrible plans and he's supposed to try and woo them into accepting his deal. You know, negotiate a great deal for everyone.

Threatening a shutdown is the opposite of negotiating. It's blackmailing and hurting people who has little to do with this. But it's not like Trump cares. He just wants the Great Wall of Trump to be built so that he can say that people can see his greatness even from space.

Of course we can debunk this. It's not difficult. The image is nothing more than a series of flesh folds that lined up in such a way that we see something that resembles a very crude picture. That's all it is.

But you know what? I get why the couple want that hope. A difficult pregnancy and children born with birth defects. You would want something that gives you a little bit of hope, that this child is going to come out fine and without complications.

So, take all of the hope that you can get and may your third child come out fine. We can all use some of that hope in our lives.

What does it take?

Some time ago, a 17 year old student was killed in the Philippines by police who had accused him of resisting arrest. Of course, as it turns out, this was not true and the poor boy was just simply executed for no good reason whatsoever.

Firstly, my condolences to the family of the boy even though I know they will never read this. It is never easy losing a member of your family, especially in this manner and I hope that they receive the justice that they clearly deserve.

Nobody is going to deny that drug addiction is bad and that people who peddle the addiction are saints. But here's the other part of the issue: when you authorize people to play judge, jury and executioner, you are going to kill innocent people without blinking an eye.

That's why we have things like judges and a court of law. It's not perfect but it allows people a chance to prove their innocence. Sometimes, it doesn't work and the corrupt lets the bad guys go. But it also ensures that people do not simply get killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Is this going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back? Has American police change their ways and stopped shooting people because of their twitchy nerves? Obviously not. But people have now awaken to the other side of the issue and hopefully, this will one day lead to Duterte being punished for crimes against humanity.

But things won't change immediately because the people in charge are the ones who are the ones who started this mess and that needs something done about it.
